“Gammelbyn Hovfjället” is located on a south slope, facing beautiful Lake Rattsjön, 9 km north of Hovfjället alpine centre and nature reserve. 22 “Tirol style” timber cottages, each 33 sqm, furnished with pentry, toilet/shower, TV and 6 beds (of which 2 are in sleeping loft).
We can also offer an 8-bed house (no 24), 60 sqm, and a 5-bed house (no 25) with a possibility of extra beds. Both houses have an open fireplace (firewood included) and satellite-TV.
Gammelbyn Hovfjället also has reception service with a small kiosk shop, fully licensed restaurant (open on request), conference room with facilities, sauna, Finnish smoke-sauna at the lakeside (special arrangement) and pub evenings in the “Barn”.

Short cross country ski tracks at the holiday village, longer touring tracks at Hovfjället Ski Centre. Good possibilities for ice-fishing in Lake Rattsjön.
